4 People Die of Swine Flu in Binh Dinh Province, Central Vietnam

Rise in H1N1 Cases Raises Concerns; Health Department Urges Precautions
In the past month, Binh Dinh Province in central Vietnam has recorded nine cases of swine flu (H1N1), with four fatalities. The number of severe cases has been rising in recent weeks, according to Le Quang Hung, director of the Binh Dinh Department of Health. While the identities of the deceased have not been disclosed, authorities have urged medical facilities to isolate suspected cases and informed local disease control centers.

The health department reassured the public that the flu's infectivity is not high but emphasized that the elderly, immunocompromised individuals, and those with pre-existing conditions are at higher risk of complications. Symptoms of H1N1 include fever, chills, sore throat, and fatigue. Prompt antiviral treatment is recommended, and high-risk individuals should consider taking Tamiflu or getting vaccinated to prevent severe outcomes.
