The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham Vietnam), alongside the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, will organize the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition (GEFE) 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City from October 21 to 23. The event comes at a crucial time as Vietnam faces significant climate challenges, with recent devastation caused by super typhoon Yagi underscoring the urgency of climate action.

New EuroCham Chairman Bruno Jaspaert emphasized that GEFE 2024 will serve as a platform for dialogue between government, businesses, and international organizations to address climate change and explore innovative green solutions. Vu Ba Phu, Director General of VIETRADE, highlighted the event's alignment with Vietnam's National Green Growth Strategy, aiming to enhance investment and trade cooperation between Europe and Vietnam.

With the theme "Building Green Futures," GEFE 2024 will feature 10 green topics, 30 conference sessions, and participation from over 8,000 attendees. The discussions will focus on key areas such as climate resilience, green finance, and sustainable energy, all critical to Vietnam’s goal of achieving Net-Zero by 2050.
