Southeast Asia: Vietnam Businesses Suffered Most from Local Cyberthreats with 17.1 Million Incidents in 2023

In 2023, businesses in Southeast Asia faced a total of 43 million local cyberthreats, with Vietnam experiencing the most incidents at 17.1 million.
Indonesia followed with 14.6 million threats, and Thailand had 4.7 million.

Singapore saw a 67% increase in local incidents, totaling 500,000.

Kaspersky's data indicates that user computers were the target of these threats, which could have entered the system through infected files, removable media, or complex installers.

Kaspersky's statistics reveal that Southeast Asia is a growing manufacturing hub with consistent digital economic growth.

To maintain this progress, organizations must strengthen their cyber defenses against advanced attacks using old techniques.

Protection requires a security solution that can identify and treat infected objects, a firewall, anti-rootkit functionality, and control over removable devices.

Regularly scanning systems with robust security solutions can prevent the spread of malware through files or removable media.
