Ho Chi Minh City to Inaugurate Three Major Hospitals by April

New medical facilities to improve healthcare access for residents and neighboring provinces
Three large hospitals, with a combined cost of over 225.6 million US dollars, are set to open in Ho Chi Minh City before April 30 this year, the city’s Health Department has announced.

The hospitals—Thu Duc Regional General Hospital, Hoc Mon Regional General Hospital, and Cu Chi Regional General Hospital—are part of a major initiative to enhance healthcare infrastructure. Thu Duc and Hoc Mon hospitals are scheduled for inauguration in April, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Reunification Day. Cu Chi Hospital will follow in September, marking Vietnam’s National Day.

Funded by the city’s budget, these hospitals will collectively provide more than 3,000 beds. Hoc Mon Hospital, with 1,000 beds across 12 floors, has already started operating several specialized departments. Thu Duc Hospital will serve residents in the east of the city and nearby provinces, while Cu Chi Hospital aims to attract patients from Cambodia, offering comprehensive medical services with 1,250 staff members.
