Peacekeepers help promote Vietnam’s image | Politics | Vietnam+ (VietnamPlus)

Vietnamese peacekeeping forces are developing strongly, contributing to affirming Vietnam’s role in the world arena and demonstrating Vietnam’s efforts and commitments to joining UN peacekeeping operations and building global peace and security.
Vietnamese peacekeeping forces are flourishing, solidifying Vietnam's global stature and showcasing its commitment to UN peacekeeping efforts. Recent decisions to deploy three officers to UN missions bring Vietnam's total peacekeeper count to nearly 800.

These peacekeepers have garnered praise for their professionalism and dedication, leaving positive impressions on mission leaders and international colleagues. To ensure preparedness, the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations meticulously selects and trains officers, including participation in major peacekeeping exercises.

Despite facing unpredictable security risks and harsh conditions, officers like Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Sy Hieu are equipped with comprehensive skills and unwavering determination. They prioritize adherence to UN regulations, host country laws, and Vietnamese values to uphold the nation's honor.

In their missions, these officers aim not only to fulfill their duties but also to engage in humanitarian efforts, portraying Vietnam as a compassionate and peace-loving nation. Through their actions, they exemplify the noble qualities of Vietnamese soldiers and enhance the country's image on the global stage.
