More than 300 workers in Binh Phuoc Province, southern Vietnam, are left with unpaid wages and no work after the owner of Signature Home Furnishings Company disappeared. The company, which specialized in manufacturing furniture, suddenly suspended operations in July, with no communication or payments made since then.

The workers, many of whom have not been paid for over 40 days, are struggling to receive their salaries and benefits. The company also owes over VND 3.2 billion (US$130,030) in unpaid wages and nearly VND 1 billion (US$40,420) in insurance coverage. Despite contributing monthly to social, healthcare, and unemployment insurance, the employees have yet to receive any support.

The Binh Phuoc industrial parks labor union is now providing legal assistance to the workers. However, with the company’s owner unreachable and no formal termination of contracts, the process remains challenging. Workers are being advised to submit petitions to the provincial court to fight for their rights.
