Vietjet Air has announced a new direct flight route between Singapore and Phu Quoc, set to begin on May 30. The budget airline will operate four weekly flights, further boosting connectivity between the two nations. This addition brings the total number of weekly flights between Vietnam and Singapore to 78, serving an estimated half a million passengers annually.

The new route marks the fourth direct air service between the two countries, complementing existing flights to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang. Vietjet Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao emphasized the airline's role in driving economic growth, trade, and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Singapore.

To support its fleet expansion, Vietjet signed a 300-million-dollar financing agreement with Carlyle Aviation Partners for aircraft purchases through 2026. Additionally, it entered a partnership with Satair, an Airbus subsidiary, to enhance supply chain management for its Airbus fleet.
