Vietnam Mobilizes 285,000 Soldiers as Tropical Storm Trami Approaches

Vietnam has mobilized approximately two hundred eighty-five thousand soldiers and numerous facilities in anticipation of tropical storm Trami, which approaches central regions from the East Vietnam Sea. With heavy rains and adverse maritime conditions expected, authorities are working to ensure safety for over sixty-seven thousand vessels. Vietnam's prime minister has directed preparedness measures, urging localities at risk to execute comprehensive response plans.
Vietnam has mobilized approximately two hundred eighty-five thousand soldiers and over twelve thousand five hundred facilities, including thirteen aircraft, in anticipation of tropical storm Trami nearing its central regions.

The National Civil Defense Steering Committee reported massive preparations as the storm makes its way through the East Vietnam Sea.

Authorities from northern Quang Ninh to south-central Binh Thuan provinces have collaborated with local entities and ship owners to update sixty-seven thousand vessels and over three hundred thousand individuals aboard on safety measures.

Vu Xuan Thanh, deputy director of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, noted that Trami might return to sea after reaching the mainland.

Emergency measures include relocation and relief efforts, as heavy rains are expected between Ha Tinh and Phu Yen, and the northern Central Highlands.

At one in the afternoon on Friday, Trami was positioned about five hundred sixty kilometers east-northeast of Vietnam's Hoang Sa archipelago with maximum winds of one hundred two kilometers per hour.

It is projected to intensify and affect the coastal areas by Sunday, weakening as it continues.

The storm is anticipated to disrupt maritime conditions with violent winds and waves up to nine meters high in the northern East Vietnam Sea.

Localities at risk are executing comprehensive response plans as directed by the prime minister.
