Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged international partners to support Vietnam’s digital transformation, emphasizing artificial intelligence and semiconductors as key industries. Speaking at the policy forum “Vietnam’s Proactive Development of the Semiconductor and AI Industries in the New Era” on March 14, he outlined Vietnam’s ambition to become a major player in the global digital economy.

The forum was part of the Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductors 2025 international conference, bringing together over 1,000 industry leaders from major firms such as NVIDIA, Intel, and Qualcomm. The event highlighted Vietnam’s plans to train 100,000 engineers in AI and semiconductor technologies and attract high-tech investment. A key initiative launched was the 2025 Vietnam Innovation Challenge, aimed at advancing AI research through an open-source Vietnamese language database.

The prime minister reaffirmed Vietnam’s commitment to economic stability, sustainable growth, and fostering innovation-friendly policies. He called for global cooperation in policy guidance, financial support, and technology transfer, ensuring Vietnam remains competitive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
