Typhoon Trami to Disrupt Central Vietnam with Heavy Rain

Typhoon Trami is expected to bring heavy rainfall to central Vietnam, mainly affecting regions from Ha Tinh Province to Binh Dinh Province and parts of the northern Central Highlands. Rainfall could vary between three hundred to over seven hundred millimeters in some areas. Severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms and strong winds, could impact ships and cause damage to sea dikes and embankments along provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Nam.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has issued a warning for Typhoon Trami, which is anticipated to bring substantial rainfall to central Vietnam.

This weather event will particularly affect regions from Ha Tinh Province to Binh Dinh Province and parts of the northern Central Highlands.

Rainfall is expected to range from three hundred to five hundred millimeters in areas from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai Province, with some locations possibly exceeding seven hundred millimeters.

Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Binh Dinh provinces, and parts of the northern Central Highlands could experience precipitation between one hundred to two hundred millimeters, with some spots potentially getting more than three hundred millimeters.

The eye of Typhoon Trami was detected two hundred thirty kilometers east-northeast of Vietnam's Hoang Sa archipelago at 4 a.m. on October Twenty-Sixth.

It recorded sustained winds of one hundred three to one hundred seventeen kilometers per hour, equating to level eleven strength, with gusts up to level sixteen.

The storm is advancing westward at approximately twenty kilometers per hour but is expected to turn eastward by October Twenty-Ninth, reducing speed to about ten kilometers per hour as it diminishes in intensity.

Officials have cautioned ships in the vicinity about the likelihood of severe weather conditions such as thunderstorms, strong winds, and high waves.

Large waves and potential storm surges could also pose threats to sea dikes and embankments in provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Nam.
