HortEx Vietnam 2025: Showcasing Innovations in Horticulture and Strengthening Vietnam's Position as a Leading Fruit Exporter

International Exhibition and Conference Focuses on Technology, Trade, and Sustainability
The seventh edition of HortEx Vietnam, the country's largest exhibition dedicated to the horticultural and floricultural industry, opened on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting nearly 400 brands from 30 countries. The three-day event, organized by Nova Exhibitions BV (Netherlands) and Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Services Co., Ltd. (VEAS), serves as a vital platform for technology exchange, trade connections, and promoting Vietnamese agricultural exports.

According to Nguyen Ba Vinh, managing director of VEAS, HortEx Vietnam has firmly established itself as the leading international trade event for Vietnam's horticultural sector. This year, the exhibition features business delegations, cooperatives, and agricultural producers from 17 provinces across the country. The event provides an opportunity for local businesses to enhance production capacity, improve product quality, and expand export markets.

HortEx Vietnam 2025 is supported by various organizations, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam. Additionally, the Agritech Asia exhibition, focused on advanced agricultural technologies, is debuting at the event.

During the opening ceremony, Consulate General of the Netherlands Daniël Stork highlighted Vietnam's growing role in the global fruit export market, noting that the country exported US$7.15 billion worth of fruits and vegetables to the EU in 2024. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam emphasized the importance of sustainable development and technological advancements in the sector.

Youth engagement in sustainable agriculture was also underscored by Chao Yen, ambassador for the Empower Youth 4Food (EY4F) campaign in Vietnam. Yen emphasized the need for younger generations to take an active role in promoting sustainable farming methods to ensure the long-term success of agriculture in the region.
