Miss Ede Expands Coffee Exports to U.S. with Focus on Sustainability and Traceability

Vietnamese Coffee Company Enhances Global Presence with Compliance to EU Anti-Deforestation Standards
Miss Ede, a renowned Vietnamese specialty coffee company, announced on Tuesday the export of two additional containers of sustainably sourced coffee to the United States, with shipments scheduled for completion in the second quarter. This new shipment includes 24,000 packs of roasted coffee and 18,000 packs of whole coffee beans, produced under stringent sustainability standards that meet the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

The robusta coffee beans used in Miss Ede's products are cultivated in non-deforested areas by Simexco Dak Lak Company, highlighting the company's commitment to environmental sustainability. The coffee meets the traceability and deforestation-free requirements set by the EUDR, which is essential for entering the highly competitive U.S. and EU markets.

Following the success of its first shipment to the U.S. in 2024, which quickly gained shelf space in supermarkets, Miss Ede's U.S. distributors have increased their orders due to positive consumer feedback and steady sales performance. The company has also signed a five-year cooperation agreement with Simexco Dak Lak to ensure its supply chain meets international sustainability standards such as 4C, Fairtrade, and Rainforest Alliance certifications.

In addition to expanding in the U.S., Miss Ede is entering the South Korean market through a partnership with The Nanum Trading. This collaboration will help distribute Miss Ede's coffee and chocolate products in South Korea, while also introducing Korean health beverages to Vietnam.

The company’s commitment to sustainability is in line with the European Union's EUDR, which mandates that coffee and other commodities exported to the EU must be free from deforestation activities post-December 31, 2020. This regulation, which has been extended to small companies until June 30, 2026, is crucial for Miss Ede’s continued expansion into international markets.
