Cambodia has backed Thailand's proposal for a single visa policy called '6 Countries, 1 Destination', which includes Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand. This effort aims to streamline travel and boost tourism in the region. Discussions have started between Cambodia and Thailand, focusing on improving transport links, creating linked tourism routes, and promoting regional festivals with special discounts.
Cambodia has agreed to support a Thai-led initiative to enhance cross-border travel through a single visa policy called '6 Countries, 1 Destination'.

This initiative includes Thailand, Cambodia, Brunei, Laos, Malaysia, and Vietnam, aiming to establish Thailand as a regional tourism hub.

The agreement followed discussions in Phnom Penh between Cambodian Minister of Tourism Huot Hak and advisors to the Thai Foreign Minister.

This initiative seeks to increase tourism and economic collaboration by streamlining travel.

Plans include linking tourism routes, improving transport, and creating a regional tourism calendar.

The proposal is set to be discussed further with Cambodian governmental agencies and is expected to be a topic during the upcoming visit by Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
