Nutifood Proposes Pedestrian Bridge Over Saigon River for April Groundbreaking

The nearly $39 million project celebrates Vietnam’s 50th Reunification Anniversary.
Vietnamese dairy giant Nutifood has proposed April 26, 2025, as the date for groundbreaking on a pedestrian bridge across the Saigon River, coinciding with the country’s 50th Reunification Anniversary. Fully funded by Nutifood, the 261-meter bridge will connect Bach Dang Wharf Park in District 1 to Thu Thiem New Urban Area in Thu Duc City.

Designed as a steel girder with a cable-stayed main span, the bridge draws inspiration from the cultural symbol of a nipa palm leaf. It aims to provide a safe and accessible public space while enhancing Ho Chi Minh City’s urban transport network.
