Quang Ninh Welcomes Over 73,000 Tourists During New Year Holiday

Ha Long Bay and Cultural Events Highlight Festive Celebrations
The northern province of Quang Ninh attracted over 73,000 tourists during the 2025 New Year holiday, marking a 20 percent increase compared to normal days. Among them, approximately 49,120 were domestic visitors, while over 23,880 were international tourists. Tourism revenue reached an estimated 168 billion Vietnamese Dong, a 51 percent rise from regular days.

Ha Long Bay remained the most popular destination, drawing around 10,000 visitors, including 8,500 international travelers. Festive year-end parties on cruise ships, cultural performances, and vibrant fireworks displays created a lively atmosphere. Other attractions, including Yen Tu Pagoda, Quang Ninh Museum, and Sun World Park, also saw significant visitor numbers.

To enhance the holiday experience, local authorities organized cultural and sports events, trade fairs, and exhibitions, while introducing nighttime economy models. These initiatives, coupled with improved safety measures and enhanced service quality, ensured Quang Ninh delivered a memorable New Year experience for both local and international tourists.
