Ho Chi Minh City Welcomes International Tourists with Grand 2025 Tourism Campaign Launch

Special ceremony at Tan Son Nhat Airport marks the start of a year-long celebration of culture and hospitality
Ho Chi Minh City officially launched its 2025 tourism campaign on January 1 with a vibrant welcome ceremony at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Organized by the city's Department of Tourism, in partnership with Vietnam Airlines and the airport authority, the event transformed baggage carousels into cultural showcases.

Arriving international visitors were greeted with traditional folk music, tea ceremonies, calligraphy demonstrations, paper fan painting, and locally crafted Tet gifts. Eight lucky passengers from a Vietnam Airlines flight from Paris received return business-class tickets for domestic flights, while five others arriving from Tokyo and Hong Kong also received special gifts.

This event marks the beginning of a series of tourism promotion activities planned throughout 2025, coinciding with the fiftieth anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification. The campaign emphasizes Ho Chi Minh City's cultural charm and aims to position the city as a top international tourism destination in the year ahead.
