Hanoi Creative Design Festival Breaks Records with 300,000 Visitors

The Hanoi 2024 Creative Design Festival attracts record crowds, celebrating creativity across various disciplines.
The Hanoi 2024 Creative Design Festival has marked a significant achievement in the city’s cultural scene, drawing a remarkable 300,000 visitors over its nine-day run from November 9 to 17. This year’s event, themed “Creative Crossroads,” saw a five-fold increase in attendance compared to last year, underscoring its growing appeal. Over 500 creative professionals, including designers, architects, and artisans, showcased their work across various disciplines, with a notable focus on young artists.

The festival took full advantage of Hanoi's historical landmarks, with more than 100 activities spread across 12 cultural sectors such as architecture, fine arts, cinema, and publishing. Iconic sites like the University of Science and the Government Guesthouse opened their doors to the public for the first time, transforming these heritage buildings into lively creative spaces. The success of the event was not only measured in record attendance but also in the active participation of local residents, who contributed to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere, according to the Director of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, Do Dinh Hong.

With such a positive response, the Hanoi Creative Design Festival has cemented its place as a key event in the city’s cultural calendar, offering a platform for creativity and community engagement.
