Arizona State University (ASU) is offering free courses to Vietnamese students and lecturers interested in the semiconductor industry. This initiative is part of the International Technology Security and Innovation (ITSI) Program, launched to mark the first anniversary of the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Vietnam is one of eight countries chosen for this program, aiming to diversify and expand global semiconductor assembly, testing, and packaging capabilities.

The courses are taught by experts from leading global universities via online platforms and cover topics such as semiconductor properties, materials, and fabrication methods. Participants from the designated countries can enroll through the program's website and undergo weekly evaluations. The program also provides an opportunity for teachers to gain certifications in semiconductor technology.

U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper emphasized the program’s role in shaping the semiconductor industry's future and fostering a lasting partnership between the U.S. and Vietnam. Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung praised the initiative as a critical step in Vietnam's journey toward becoming a key player in the semiconductor sector.
