Bắc Giang Aims to Transform Khuôn Thần Lake Into a Major Tourist Destination

Rich in natural beauty and potential, Bắc Giang province plans large-scale developments to boost tourism and economic growth.
Bắc Giang province, known for its rapid economic development, is now focusing on tapping into its natural beauty and tourism potential. Key to this effort is the transformation of Khuôn Thần Lake and other picturesque lakes into major tourist destinations. Despite their stunning landscapes and cultural diversity, lakes like Khuôn Thần, Bàu Tiên, and Cấm Sơn have struggled to attract visitors beyond casual day trips due to limited services and infrastructure.

Recent efforts are centered on a strategic plan to develop Khuôn Thần Lake into a large-scale eco-tourism and sports zone. The area, spanning 873 hectares, is set to accommodate 12,000 to 15,000 people and host up to 5,000 guests at a time. The province is working on enhancing planning, improving infrastructure, and creating a new urban area with modern facilities while preserving the natural environment. This project is part of a broader strategy to integrate tourism with the region's economic growth and to establish Bắc Giang as a significant destination for eco-tourism.

In addition to Khuôn Thần Lake, the province is upgrading routes and expanding infrastructure to promote tourism and socio-economic development in the surrounding areas. Bắc Giang's leadership is committed to turning these natural treasures into valuable tourism assets, bringing in revenue and enhancing the region's appeal to both domestic and international visitors.
