Nguyen Le Phuong Thuy, an 18-year-old student from Quang Binh Province, has been awarded the prestigious Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship to the University of Toronto. Valued at over CAD$330,000, the scholarship covers tuition, books, and accommodation for four years. Only 37 international students receive this highly competitive award each year.

Originally focused on U.S. universities, Thuy shifted her plans to Canada and impressed with her leadership through projects like “Tet of Compassion,” which helped her secure the scholarship. She will be studying International Business and Management Co-op at one of Canada’s top-ranked institutions starting this month.
