US-funded Project Helps Over 4,000 Children Combat Child Labour in Vietnam

The ACE project strengthens the capacity to address the worst forms of child labour, including online exploitation
Over 4,000 children have received support services aimed at preventing and combating various forms of child labour through the Against Child Exploitation (ACE) project, funded by the US Department of Labour. The project, implemented from November 2022 to September 2024 in Dien Bien and Quang Nam provinces and Da Nang city, focuses on strengthening the capacity of the Vietnamese Government to tackle the Worst Forms of Child Labour (WFCL), including online sexual exploitation.

Notably, 1,152 child welfare workers and volunteers have been trained to prevent and reduce child labour, and 62 awareness-raising activities were organized for children, parents, businesses, and the community. The project also collaborated with the Vietnam Information Security Association to establish the Vietnam Cyber Safety for Children Club, the first of its kind to connect technology companies, NGOs, and individuals in safeguarding children online.
