Vietnamese Community in Laos Donates Aid to Typhoon Yagi Victims

Solidarity in Times of Need
A Vietnamese delegation in Laos, led by Chargé d'Affaires Phan Minh Chien, handed over financial aid on September 16 to support those affected by Typhoon Yagi in northern Laos.

Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone expressed deep gratitude for the support from Vietnam, emphasizing the enduring solidarity and mutual assistance between the two nations. He assured that the funds will be distributed to the flood victims across various Lao localities. On behalf of the Vietnamese community, Chien presented 300 million Lao kip in aid to the Lao Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Baykham Khattiya.
